Analysis results World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus officially visited the University Medical Center Heart Center (UMC Heart Center) during his Regional Environment Summit tour.
During the visit, he was introduced to the center’s activities, its infrastructure and modern approaches to providing high-tech medical care. He was shown key areas of clinical, scientific and educational processes of the clinics. Additionally the Director-General visited the UMC Simulation Center, observed the training process and warmly welcomed the participants, noting the importance of international exchange of experience between countries in Asia.
Special attention was noted to the medical device ALEM (Astana Life Ex-situ Machine), designed for the preservation and transportation of donor organs.
The visit of this magnitude underscores the international recognition of the UMC Heart Center, as well as its contribution to the development of cardiology and cardiac surgical care not only in Kazakhstan but also in the region.
This event marked an important step in strengthening cooperation with international organizations and confirming the high level of Kazakhstan’s medicine.
